Frequently Asked Questions

Is your moving company licensed and insured?

Yes, most definitely! We are fully licensed and have all the required insurance.

Does your insurance cover your customers’ belongings during the move?

Yes. If you hire us to handle your move, we have liability insurance that will be provided to you for FREE to cover your belongings.

Are there any hidden charges beyond your basic rate that I should know about upfront?

No. The rate we quote will include all charges for handling your move, so there will be no surprises in the end.

How can I make my move as fast and efficient as possible?

Our professional movers are trained to work fast. But there are things you can do to make it go faster. Get organized in advance by boxing up all your possessions. Label all boxes and place them in a designated spot.

Will I be charged when the movers take breaks?

No, however our movers will need an occasional break and that time will be deducted from your bill. You will only be charged for the time our movers spend working.

Am I expected to tip the movers?

It is totally up to you whether to give the movers a tip or not. It’s always appreciated, but never expected.

Why can’t you tell me exactly how many hours it will take to move me locally?

It is impossible to predict and therefore the law will not allow us to do so. No reputable moving company is permitted to provide an exact quote by phone. The law instead requires that we give you our rates.

Can you explain what "double drive time" is?

Double drive time is how long it will take the moving truck to go from your current residence to the home you’re moving into – times two. Double drive time take place only if the distance between your locations is more than 15 miles. This is what the government requires licensed movers to base their charges on.
